Interpreter services

Most UWMC medical and surgical services have a patient care coordinator who works with the patient and doctor to plan admission.  The doctor will arrange for admission to UWMC (unless patient is admitted through the Emergency Department or transferred from another hospital).

UW Physicians and UWMC participate in most HMO organizations and preferred provider organization plans and other commercial health plans. Accepts Medicare and WA Apple Health (Medicaid).

Offers comprehensive inpatient services, including UW Regional Heart Center, cancer center, critical care unit, intensive care unit, neonatal intensive care unit, voluntary psychiatric inpatient care unit, rehabilitation, general medicine, transplant and others.

Provides general and acute inpatient and outpatient medical services. Offers emergency medical care and a social worker who is available for crisis intervention. Coordinates support groups for multiple diseases and disorders.
