Deaf services clinicians provide comprehensive, evidence-based treatment addressing mental health and substance use disorders to King County children, adults and families. Offers direct access to care in sign language and understands the unique needs of people who are Deaf, hard of hearing or Deafblind. Helps with: - Counseling for everyday problems or an unexpected life crisis - Healing from trauma - Enhancing relationships & communication skills - Resolving workplace concerns & garnering support during career transitions - Providing psychiatric assessments, treatment, and medication management - Assessing and treating substance use disorders - The complex challenges of children & adolescents - Parenting support & education - Assistance with accessing other needed services such as housing Services are available both in-person and via telehealth.

Eligibility

King County children, youth and families who are Deaf, hard of hearing, Deafblind, or late deafened. Must use American Sign Language or some other form of sign language to communicate; and be struggling with mental health, substance use disorder, developmental or intellectual challenges, homelessness, or trauma.
