Anyone who has opened a claim or is eligible to open a Washington state unemployment claim.

Call for intake interview. Clients may have to call more than once.

Fees

All services are free. If ULP successfully represents at a hearing, they ask for a donation of one week's benefits.

Service area

Description

Provides information, assistance, advocacy and representation to workers in search of unemployment compensation benefits. Also assists with appeals of unemployment benefits denials, assistance with training benefits, and most overpayment, fraud and garnishment issues relating to unemployment insurance benefits. Offers a telephone helpline staffed by representatives who provide information on all aspects of the process. Most services are available via telephone. Also has a list of self-help resources available online. Will also assist with issues regarding Washington State's Paid Family and Medical Leave.
