Assists Washington state residents who have a dispute with the Department of Revenue that is unable to be resolved through routine channels. The Advocate: - Can help you understand the options and procedures available to resolve your issue. - Can serve as a mediator between you, the taxpayer, and the Department. - Committed to helping you better understand your Rights and Responsibilities as a Washington state taxpayer. The advocate cannot change applications of law or grant relief from taxes that are legally due. We encourage you to work with Department of Revenue employees to resolve your tax liability issues.
