Eligibility

Older adults in the Seattle area who are isolated, in transition or under-stimulated. Clients must be able to participate in meaningful conversation. Clients may have physical and cognitive deficits; must be able to toilet independently.

Application process

Call for an initial telephone screening and to set up an appointment to visit the program for the day. For information on current availability or to be added to waiting list, email.

Fees

$425/month *If space allows and the option is available for a participant to attend more than one day per week, the monthly cost will be multiplied according to the number of days per week they attend.

Description

Provides a holistic approach to services for older adults through an art and exercise curriculum, meaningful group discussions and a community-style lunch. The curriculum addresses emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual needs and encourages community. Program explores issues associated with aging by developing a sense of community and encouraging an individual's resources. Serves as an adult day program. Provides outreach by taking its services to retirement communities, especially the art program and discussion groups.
