Financial Assistance offered by King County Veterans Program in Seattle
Provides financial assistance to help veterans with housing, employment and medical expenses as well as life stability. Financial assistance is provided as part of a client's service plan. - Financial assistance for housing expenses (e. g. , rent, mortgage), eviction prevention, move-in expenses, transitional housing and shelter expenses. - Financial assistance for medical expenses, medical aids/equipment and prescriptions.

Application process
- New clients can access visiting in person M-F 8:30-11:00 & 1:00- 3:00. - All visits in person will be handled on a first come-first served basis. - Returning clients within 6 month time frame are encouraged to call to schedule an appointment with case manager. If it has been longer than 6 months, clients need to visit in person. - Assistance provided every 12 months.
Eligibility
Veterans, service members and their families/households (including Widows and Widowers) living in King County. Veteran is defined as a person who has served as either an active duty or reservist member in any of the armed forces recognized by the United States Department of Defense. Discharge status is not a factor in determining eligibility. Financial Assistance eligibility is income contingent (this is in addition to the military service eligibility definition).
