Description

Provides resources and information to people newly diagnosed with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. Local support groups meet in Seattle, Kirkland, Renton, Tacoma, Tri-Cities and Yakima. Coordinates peer-to-peer support opportunities. Facilitates presentations by health professionals and informal sessions for sharing information and support for people with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis and their families.

Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, Northwest Chapter

Provides education and support regarding Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis for patients, their families and the general public. Common symptoms of these diseases are severe abdominal pain, persistent diarrhea, skin and eye infections and arthritis. Raises funds for research. Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are chronic inflammatory bowel diseases.
