Worker retraining participants must be receiving unemployment benefits or be eligible for benefits, OR have exhausted their unemployment benefits within the past two years, OR have received a written notice of future layoff from their employer and will be eligible for unemployment benefits.   Worker Retraining and WorkFirst programs are for the unemployed, displaced homemaker, and low-income parents and are based on eligibility and fund availability.

None.  Participants may qualify for financial aid for tuition, books, transportation and child care from various sources.

Offers career planning, job skills training, and job search assistance as part of a statewide program retraining unemployed adults in different fields.   WorkSource Affiliate (Bellevue) is located at this site and offers retraining services.   Worker Retraining (Bellevue College and WorkFirst [DSHS - Community Services Division - Region 4]) programs are available and offer free tuition for occupational training.
