Description
Provides shelter for ONLY domestic violence survivors and their dependent children (up to age 17 or enrolled in school) in furnished apartments which have kitchens and bathrooms. Serves up to 10 families. Males of any age are eligible for shelter as long as they are part of an eligible survivor headed household with dependent children under 17. Clients generally stay up to six weeks. Offers support services for ESL clients. Offers residents advocacy-based counseling, domestic violence support groups and parenting support groups. Also offers advocacy and activities for children of families in the program. Clients receive: - Personal hygiene supplies - Emergency food - Linens and blankets - Household and kitchen items.
