Description
Recruits and licenses foster parents in Washington state. Offers online foster parent information sessions via Zoom the first Tu of each month. Works with foster parents, the child, birth parents, community agencies and courts to provide daily care and support for each child. Foster families can opt to work with DCYF staff or with a local private agency. Also investigates complaints received on licensed foster homes and foster care agencies.
