Transitional Housing offered at Elizabeth Gregory Home

Provides transitional housing for up to eight women. Residents receive light case management assistance to set and achieve goals.   Average length of stay is one year, but stays range from six months to two years.   Provides the following services to residents: -  Life skills -  Classes - Employment Assistance -  Weekly case management meetings - Bi-weekly house meetings

Application process

Call and ask for the program manager, or visit Day Center in person and ask to speak to the program manager. Facility is not accessible to those with wheelchairs or other mobility devices.

Eligibility

Women ages 18 and older who are homeless and have income below 30% of the current Area Median Income. Does not serve women with kids or families. Anyone who identifies as female is welcome.   Accepts domestic violence survivors.   Clients with previous criminal convictions are accepted on a case by case basis. Cannot accept those with an arson conviction fewer than ten years old.

Fee

30% of monthly income; no income minimum required. Fees begining from $150.00- $600.00. $250.00 deposit, refundable with no damages or policy violations. Deposit assistance may be available. Service animals may be permitted.   Performs background checks.

Provides supportive transitional housing for single women. Also operates a daily drop-in center for women with shower and laundry facilities, mail service, bus tickets and hygiene items as well as limited emergency food and clothing. Serves breakfast and lunch Sunday through Friday. Offers use of computers, internet, fax, phone and copy machine for use with job and housing searches. Provides information and referral to other community resources.
