House of Hope operated by Mamma's Hands

Must be either pregnant or parenting a child under age 18 on a full-time basis. Cannot accept families with a male child age 13 or older. Women must be ages 18 or older or be legally emancipated teens. Accepts documented service and emotional support animals. Cannot serve those with sex offenses or others with arson or violent criminal offenses. Must be willing to participate in shelter services, follow zero-tolerance policy for alcohol and drug use, and live in a communal environment. Location is semi-confidential and can serve those who have experienced domestic violence but are not being actively pursued. Random drug tests are administered. Access to personal transportation is helpful, but not required.
M-F, 9am-5pm.

Visit the website to complete and submit the online resident application. The screening process entails at least one phone interview and a Zoom intake.  A baseline drug screening is required as part of the application process.

Description

Provides emergency shelter for pregnant and/or parenting women with at least one child on a full-time basis. Can serve up to seven families at a time, dependent on family size, in two homes on the same semi-confidential property.   Families receive their own private bedroom and shared bathroom. Length of stay is not pre-determined, but tailored to each family's needs. The program offers professional case management and services on-site.
