No fees to borrow a book. You will no longer be charged a daily fine for overdue items. As always, digital materials are checked in automatically with no late fines. If you owe $25 or more for 30 days, we will charge you a non-refundable $10 fee and refer your account to an outside agency for recovery.

Loans library materials, including: - Books and magazines - Newspapers - CDs, DVDs and videos - Books on CD, and other materials - Mobile Wi-Fi hotspots. Provides public access to a variety of computer resources, including: - Internet - Word processing - Printers - Searchable online databases Offers story times, children's programming, teen activities and adult book discussion groups among its many services. Among all locations of The Seattle Public Library, 400 programs are offered per month, as publicized on the Library website calendar. Delivers reading materials to: - Nursing homes and retirement homes - Facilities for children and adults with mental, physical or emotional disabilities - Day care centers - Senior centers Home service is set up on a regularly-scheduled basis for homebound individuals with an illness of six months duration or longer. Books-by-mail service is available for people who meet the criteria for home service. These services are available in Seattle only. Libraries may also be visited to escape heat or cold during extreme weather during the day.
