Offers a rebate on utility taxes for low-income older adults and customers who are disabled who paid Covington taxes for gas, electric, telephone, garbage, cell phone and cable.

Offers a 25% water and sewer discount to low income older adults.   Offers a utility tax rebate to all low-income Bothell residents for  electric, natural gas, and/or telephone services. -  City utility taxes paid between $50 to $74 per year: $50 Tax Rebate -  City utility taxes paid between $75 to $99 per year: $75 Tax Rebate -  City utility taxes paid from $100 and up per year: $100 Tax Rebate

Offers utility tax rebate to eligible low-income older adults and low-income people with disabilities in Federal Way.   Types of eligible utility bills include electric, gas, phone, garbage, cell phone and cable television.   Bills involving third party billing statements or Lakehaven Utility District are not accepted (because Lake Haven Utility District does not collect city tax).

Provides ongoing help with monthly energy bills. Depending on your household income and household size, residential customers can save 5% to 45% a month on their bills. Amount of discount is based on several factors: - Household’s income - Number of people in household - County of residence Eligible applicants will be placed in one of six discount tiers. Also provides help for paying existing electric or gas bills through the Home Energy Lifeline Program (HELP). Those who qualify may receive up to $1000 in credit to their account.

Offers an annual Utility Tax Relief Program for low-Income Burien households.   This program helps offset the impact of the City’s utility tax on telephone (not including cellular), cable television, and gas/electricity provided by Puget Sound Energy and solid waste and garbage provided by Recology CleanScapes.   Electricity, gas, solid waste and garbage: -  On behalf of eligible applicants, the city of Burien will contact Puget Sound Energy and Recology CleanScapes and have them take the utility tax charge off future bills. -  Adjustments are not retroactive. This tax relief is for the following year.   Telephone (not including cellular) and cable television:   -  Utility tax relief is available in the form of a reimbursement for taxes paid for a single residential telephone landline and for basic cable television services only.   -  Applications for this reimbursement cover taxes previously paid for the year. Checks will be mailed out by mid-February.
