Volunteer bankruptcy lawyers meet individually with debtor clients who are considering or have already applied for bankruptcy as well as those who need assistance with other debt issues. Assists Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 litigants. Clinic attorneys can: - Determine whether the client has a legal problem - Suggest possible options - Help answer papers, summons and requests - Provide appropriate referrals Clinic attorneys are specialized in areas of debt and bankruptcy law. InCharge Debt Solutions is a national non-profit credit counseling agency offering confidential budget counseling, debt management, housing counseling, bankruptcy counseling and financial education programs to consumers, including military personnel serving overseas.

Certified counselors will assess clients' financial situations, develop a spending plan, and create a plan for debt repayment. A debt consolidation plan may help: -  Reduce interest rates -  Waive late fees -  Lower monthly payments -  Eliminate collection calls   With a debt consolidation plan, clients make one monthly deposit which is then disbursed to each of their creditors. Most plans are structured so clients can be debt free in 60 months or less.
