Multiple programs that offer case management, care coordination, ESL Classes, Civis classes, social engagement programs, DME,  Senior Volunteers, etc.

Programs that develop plans for the evaluation, treatment and/or care of individuals who, because of age, illness, disability or other difficulties, need assistance in planning and arranging for services; which assess the individual's needs; coordinate the delivery of needed services; ensure that services are obtained in accordance with the case plan; and follow up and monitor progress to ensure that services are having a beneficial impact on the individual. Case management is a collaborative process characterized by communication, advocacy and resource management to promote high quality, cost-effective interventions and outcomes.

Case/Care Management

Programs that prepare individuals to take the oath of U.S. citizenship and to exercise the attendant rights and responsibilities of citizenship. Citizenship courses help immigrants develop an understanding of and appreciation for American culture, institutions and ideals; and focus on important events in U.S. history, the Constitution and its historic background, and the organization, powers and duties of federal, state and local governments.

Citizenship Education

Programs that provide assistance for non-citizens who are having difficulty understanding, accessing, and/or are unaware of government-sponsored entitlement programs and social services for which they are eligible including housing programs, employment assistance and job training, medical assistance, and other government entitlements. The program may help these individuals understand the eligibility criteria for benefits and services, the benefits/services available, the payment process and the rights of beneficiaries; provide consultation and advice; help them complete application forms; negotiate on their behalf with benefits administration and social service staff; and/or represent them in administrative processes or judicial litigation. Included are benefits counseling organizations that offer a range of advocacy services and legal aid programs that offer more formalized legal assistance.

Immigrant Benefits Assistance

Programs that assist in filing applications by lawful permanent residents who have been in that status for at least five years (or three years if married to a U.S. citizen), who meet other eligibility requirements and who wish to become naturalized U.S. citizens. Applicants must pass a citizenship examination to determine whether they can speak and read English and have a knowledge of the fundamentals of American government, history and the Constitution; and must take an oath of allegiance to the United States.

Naturalization Support/Legal Services

Programs that accept and make administrative decisions regarding immigration petitions and naturalization applications submitted by immigrants, nonimmigrant visa applicants, asylum seekers and lawful permanent residents who are seeking naturalization.

Immigration/Naturalization Adjudication Services

Mutual support groups whose members are individuals in the later years of their lives. The groups meet in-person, by telephone or via the Internet; and allow participants to share their experience, strengths and hopes to solve the problems they have in common and to address the quality of life issues that affect them all.

Aging/Older Adult Support Groups

Programs that offer opportunities for non-English-speaking and limited-English-speaking adults to learn listening, speaking, reading and writing skills with an emphasis on developing the level of communication competence that is essential for adults who are living in a setting in which English is the primary language. Also included are programs that provide English language instruction for younger people.

English as a Second Language

Programs that provide a wide variety of legal and supportive services (which may include information, counseling, application completion and filing assistance and/or legal representation, when required) for immigrants, nonimmigrant visa applicants, asylum seekers and lawful permanent residents who are seeking naturalization. Issues may include procedures for obtaining student, visitor and employment-based visas; family immigration; asylee status; lawful permanent residence status; and/or citizenship.

Comprehensive Immigration/Naturalization Services

Government offices that provide immigration and naturalization services and benefits, and enforce immigration laws. These offices receive and adjudicate petitions for change of status to or extension of nonimmigrant visa categories, family and employment based petitions leading to immigrant visas, petitions for adjustment of status to lawful permanent residence and petitions for naturalization. They also investigate violations of immigration laws, pursue the removal of aliens thought to have violated those laws, if warranted, provide for the detention of aliens, and manage the removal of persons found to have committed removable offenses as defined by immigration law. The Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) is part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Citizenship and Immigration Services Offices

Programs that help people obtain, complete and/or file official forms, certificates, documents, applications or other paperwork that is required to apply for benefits or services, initiate or respond to legal action or to officially handle or document the occurrence of a transaction; that help people acquire copies of official documents on file elsewhere; or that review legal documentation an individual has received to help explain its meaning.

Certificates/Forms Assistance

Organizations such that provide an opportunity for older adults to meet and socialize through dances, parties, picnics, barbecues and other companionable activities. Some organizations may also offer lecture series which address topics of interest to the membership or provide opportunities for involvement in charitable fundraising and other similar activities.

Older Adult Social Clubs

Handles the application process for unofficial residents desiring naturalization as well as immigrants and non-immigrants already in the US seeking change of status.  
Migrant workers and those from outside the US may need special green cards for employment, which can be obtained via application at the US Consulate in applicant's country of origin.  
Apprehends undocumented aliens and deports in accordance with federal law and regulations.
