Residential Program/Education Program offered at Washington State Center for Deaf & Hard of Hearing Youth
Offers a residential and day school in Washington state for youth, ages 3 through 21, who are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing; must complete an application and intake process.
Offers a residential and day school for deaf or hard of hearing children.
Residential program includes cottages for girls and boys.
Students are supervised by a residential program supervisor, deans, student life counselors and a recreational director.
Meals and medical care are provided on campus.
Varsity and junior varsity sports are offered in football, basketball, soccer and volleyball.
Day School Program offers all courses required to be accredited by the state.
Local students attend school during the day and return home every evening.
Student Support Services personnel include school psychologist, audiologist, counselors, speech/language pathologists, vocational and career specialists and an ASL specialist.
Transportation is provided weekly for residential students to their homes.
The local Educational Service District is contracted to provide daily transportation for day students.
