Pathways to Our Future Program offered at Asian Counseling and Referral Service
Offers a program for high school students in Seattle and South King County that includes job readiness, academic success, career exploration and internships.
Offers a program for high school students in Seattle that includes job readiness, academic success, career exploration and internships.
Youth attend workshops, field trips, campus tours and work on community projects.
YJRT works with high school students and their parents/guardians. Parent/guardians concentrate on understanding the local public school system (grading, attendance and graduation requirements), parenting techniques and financial literacy.
Supports participants with their transition to the United States and, students to find their path towards a self-sustaining livable wage career.

Family Support Worker Program offered by Seattle Public Schools No. 1
Offers support for at-risk Seattle School District elementary students and their families.
Provides case management, support, and access to social services, increases parental involvement in their children's education and improves the academic achievement of at-risk students.
Activities to accomplish the program goals vary from school to school, including parent education, family focused interventions, crisis support and referral to appropriate social service agencies.
Family support workers assist low-income families with referrals to medical and dental services.
Program available on-site at many elementary schools in Seattle Public Schools.
However, since not all schools have an on-site worker, Family Support Workers serve the remaining schools on an as needed basis.

Acts as a confidential, neutral third party not associated with the public school system.
Promotes school-family partnerships and provides information about the education system and referrals to education-related resources.
Helps parents concerned about a child being bullied at school.
Provides workshops and presentations and publishes materials designed to help families understand and navigate the K-12 education system.
Publications can be downloaded from the website or mailed.
Publications are translated into several languages.
The Education Ombudsman does not help with issues regarding:
- Elected officials (such as school board members)
- Private schools
- Private organizations or businesses
- Preschools, colleges and universities
Does not have the authority to force a school or school district to take a specific course of action and cannot discipline or terminate school or school district employees.
Does not provide legal advice or services.
