Provides access to free detection and initial treatment of glaucoma to the uninsured; maintains an Online Referral Center for glaucoma information and referral.

Programs that link people who are in need of vision care or medical services relating to eye injuries or diseases with practitioners who are qualified in the desired area of specialization.

Programs that conduct screening procedures, often for elderly people, which measure intraocular pressure to detect the presence of glaucoma.

Glaucoma Screening

Provides information and referral for medical eye care to older adults nationwide. 
Promotes annual, dilated eye exams.  
Raises awareness about age-related eye disease, including cataracts.  
Provides free eye care educational materials and facilitates access to eye care.  
People eligible for a referral through the program receive a comprehensive, medical eye exam and up to one year of care at no out-of-pocket cost for any disease diagnosed during the initial exam.

Seniors EyeCare Program offered at EyeCare America

Provides referrals to free eye exams to adults, 65 and older, who have not had an exam in three years. Volunteer ophthalmologists accept Medicare and/or other insurance as payment in full. No fees for clients who are not covered.

Programs that provide information about specific health and health-related topics including diseases and conditions, birth control, alcohol and drug abuse, mental health, safety and other similar topics that interested individuals can access on a website or in person, or by telephone, email, chat, text or other communication channel. Information may be in a self-serve, browsable format (for example a web resource directory or library of audio recordings) or provided by live agents with expertise in the field.
