Animal Control and Shelter offered by Regional Animal Services of King County
Maintains a list of missing and found pets, enforces animal control and provides animal rescue. Serves all of King County except Des Moines, Federal Way, Normandy Park, Renton, Seattle and several cities in North King County.
Enforces King County animal control ordinances. Maintains a list of missing and found pets. Provides animal rescue service 24 hours daily, as well as shelter, adoption and recovery services. 
Answers complaints regarding stray or vicious dogs, dead animals, etc. 
Receives licensed and unlicensed stray animals.

Investigates animal cruelty complaints, impounds stray animals and enforces animal control laws in the city of Normandy Park.
Enforces King County animal control ordinances within the city limits of Normandy Park. Services provided:
- Animal cruelty investigations
- Educational information about pets and pet ownership
- Impoundment of stray animals
- Nuisance animal complaint investigations
- Rescue of sick or injured animals
- Humane trapping of nuisance domesticated animals
- Referral to other animal service agencies

Persons with complaints regarding nuisance barking (barking after hours) should call non-emergency police.  
In addition to physical abuse, animal abuse occurs if caretakers fail to provide their animal with:

-  Shelter 
-  Veterinary care or sanitation 
-  Light and ventilation 
-  Appropriate space 
-  Proper collars and grooming

Animal Services offered at Auburn Valley Humane Society
Assists with the adoption of cats and dogs. Returns lost pets to owners. Accepts lost animals as well as pet surrenders. Operates a monthly pet food pantry. Pays up to $500 in vet bills. Provides temporary housing and care for owned pets.
Facilitates the adoption of stray and surrendered dogs and cats. All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.  
Operates a monthly pet food pantry. Pet owners may apply for monthly pet food or one-time emergency assistance for 30 days worth of supplies. 
Pays up to $500 in vet bills to low-income Auburn residents. 
Provides temporary housing and care for owned pets if the owner is temporarily unable to care for their pets.
