Financial Assistance Grants offered by RedRover
Provides financial assistance grants so pet caregivers can care for animals who need urgent veterinary care and to offset the cost of pet boarding while a client is in a domestic violence shelter.
Offers two grants for animal care:
RedRover Relief helps owners with animals who need immediate veterinary care to survive.
Not every applicant will receive assistance.
The typical grant is $200-$300, and is intended to fill a small gap in funding that is keeping an animal from care.
Decisions are based upon several factors, including:
- Medical urgency
- Financial need
- Available funding
- Eligibility
Safe Escape Grants help with the cost of temporary pet boarding while a client is in a domestic violence shelter, though other costs associated with boarding (like vaccinations) can be considered.
Grant applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Grants are awarded based upon several factors, including:

- Available funding

Pet Care Expense Assistance
Shelter for Pets of Domestic Violence Victims offered at Seattle Animal Shelter
Provides temporary shelter for pets of domestic violence victims until their guardians are able to move into safe homes.
Offers safekeeping of pets for victims of domestic violence.
As most shelters for domestic violence victims do not allow pets, this program provides short-term shelter for the animals until their guardians are able to move into safe homes.
Pets remain in the shelter for up to about two weeks.
If pet owner is in contact with shelter, longer arrangements may be made.
Pet could be placed in a foster care program.
