Home Help and Companionship offered by Eastside Friends of Seniors
Volunteers provide yardwork, minor home maintenance, companionship, "friendly visiting" and light housekeeping for seniors ages 60 and older living on their own. Accepting clients from only the Greater Issaquah and Sammamish area currently.
Volunteers provide the following for seniors who are living on their own:

Support for Families With Pediatric Cancer offered at Footprints of Fight
Works through third party companies to provide professional house cleaning, gas cards, and grocery cards for families that have a child in active treatment for pediatric cancer.

Hire a Worker offered by CASA Latina at Day Workers' Center
Offers skilled dependable workers trained in many fields including yard work, landscaping, construction, catering, housecleaning, packing and limited moving. Hourly wage starts at $30 per hour with a half day minimum.
Offers skilled dependable workers trained in many fields including the following:
- Basic yard work
- Advanced gardening
- Landscaping
- Construction (dry walling, carpentry, painting, hauling, digging, brick masonry, tiling, demolition)
- Event/party help
- Housecleaning (general, move-in/move-out, deep cleaning)
- Moving (assistance is limited to packing, loading and unloading)
The workers are not contractors.
Casa Latina workers do not provide moving trucks nor can they transport from one location to next. Client will need to provide all tools, materials, and safety equipment for the workers employed.
All Casa Latina workers have received Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training on health and safety in the work place and have their own personal protective equipment including work boots, rubberized cotton gloves, safety glasses, dust mask, and ear plugs.
Workers required to lift 50 to 100 lbs. have passed a strength and agility test.
All workers are screened in the national and King County sex offender registries.

Supportive Services offered by Catholic Community Services' Volunteer Services
Volunteers provide light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, yard work and transportation to low-income seniors and people with disabilities. Request 7-10 days in advance for transportation; other services may take longer; provided based on volunteer availability.
Helps low-income elders and adults with chronic illnesses or disabilities remain independent in their homes.
Matches volunteers to provide companionship, light housework, and other simple chores.
Assists with everyday household chores such as vacuuming, laundry, grocery shopping and yard work.
Drives and carpools seniors and adults with disabilities to doctor’s appointments, the grocery store, the pharmacy, and other important locations.
Drivers are able to wait until appointment is over for return trip.
Phone Buddies provide older adults with support through a weekly phone call.
Services are provided based on volunteer availability and calls are returned in the order in which they are received.
All volunteers are carefully screened with three references and a Washington State Patrol background check.
Due to the high number of requests and limited number of volunteers, may be unable to offer services to all callers.
