Operates a temporary staffing agency that provides jobs to those experiencing homelessness or other barriers to employment. Workers can be hired for one-off or recurring jobs in a wide range of industries.
Temporary staffing agency that provides jobs to those experiencing poverty, homelessness, or other barriers to employment.
Workers can be hired for one-off or recurring jobs in a wide range of industries (landscaping, painting, moving, housekeeping, warehouse, etc. ).
Both commercial and residential customers welcome to hire workers.
Workers are available for the following types of jobs:
- Interior and exterior painting
- Cleaning, including washing windows and cleaning decks or siding
- Landscaping, such as raking leaves, pruning trees and shrubs and building fences
- Home repairs, including installing drywall and other construction-related tasks, demolition and hauling debris
- Janitorial
- Shelter monitoring at tiny home villages
- Graffiti abatement
All workers have gone through screening, or some kind of workplace skills training
Workers are provided bus passes to and from the job
Customer will be invoiced directly by Uplift NW.
Uplift NW workers are protected by L&I insurance.
Services Uplift NW workers CANNOT perform:
- Asbestos removal
- Deep digging, more than 3 feet
- Electrical
- Ladder work above 8 feet, and not above a single story; individual's feet must be within 4 ft. of ground
- Packing articles for a move
- Plumbing
- Roof Work
- Confined spaces

Volunteers provide yardwork, minor home maintenance, companionship, "friendly visiting" and light housekeeping for seniors ages 60 and older living on their own. Accepting clients from only the Greater Issaquah and Sammamish area currently.

- Telephone Buddy

Supportive Services offered by Catholic Community Services' Volunteer Services
Supportive Services offered by Catholic Community Services' Volunteer Services
Volunteers provide light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, yard work and transportation to low-income seniors and people with disabilities. Request 7-10 days in advance for transportation; other services may take longer; provided based on volunteer availability.
Helps low-income elders and adults with chronic illnesses or disabilities remain independent in their homes.
Matches volunteers to provide companionship, light housework, and other simple chores.
Assists with everyday household chores such as vacuuming, laundry, grocery shopping and yard work.
Drives and carpools seniors and adults with disabilities to doctor’s appointments, the grocery store, the pharmacy, and other important locations.
Drivers are able to wait until appointment is over for return trip.
Phone Buddies provide older adults with support through a weekly phone call.
Services are provided based on volunteer availability and calls are returned in the order in which they are received.
All volunteers are carefully screened with three references and a Washington State Patrol background check.
Due to the high number of requests and limited number of volunteers, may be unable to offer services to all callers.

Sponsors home repair work events where volunteers renovate the homes of low-income Seattle area homeowners who are veterans, seniors, living with disabilities or have children and are unable to perform the work themselves. *Currently have some limited funding for any applicant (not just veterans) at 80% AMI or below (call to verify if they are within the 50-80% range), limits can also be found on website.
Offers free home repairs to low income homeowners and nonprofit facilities in the greater Seattle area.
Focuses on repairs that promote warmth, safety, and independence.
Common repairs include the following:
- Wheelchair ramps and other accessibility improvements
- Installation of grab bars to improve safety
- Plumbing and electrical work
- Flooring repair or replacement
- Painting, interior and exterior
- Window repair or replacement
- Clutter removal
- Yard clean-up
Local businesses provide material donations and work is completed by volunteers.
Does not offer grants or loans.

Offers skilled dependable workers trained in many fields including yard work, landscaping, construction, catering, housecleaning, packing and limited moving. Hourly wage starts at $30 per hour with a half day minimum.
Offers skilled dependable workers trained in many fields including the following:
- Basic yard work
- Advanced gardening
- Landscaping
- Construction (dry walling, carpentry, painting, hauling, digging, brick masonry, tiling, demolition)
- Event/party help
- Housecleaning (general, move-in/move-out, deep cleaning)
- Moving (assistance is limited to packing, loading and unloading)
The workers are not contractors.
Casa Latina workers do not provide moving trucks nor can they transport from one location to next. Client will need to provide all tools, materials, and safety equipment for the workers employed.
All Casa Latina workers have received Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training on health and safety in the work place and have their own personal protective equipment including work boots, rubberized cotton gloves, safety glasses, dust mask, and ear plugs.
Workers required to lift 50 to 100 lbs. have passed a strength and agility test.
All workers are screened in the national and King County sex offender registries.
