Provides a safe haven for women and girls of any age who have been involved in commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking. 
Confidential day center provides food, clothing, laundry, hygiene items and showers, as well as the possibility of an overnight stay. 
Center also offers support such as free counseling and therapy, mentoring, support groups, transportation to medical appointments and court dates, life skill classes, GED prep classes, case management and referrals to other resources. Offers internships for learning job skills in administrative work, retail and coffee making. Also provides job referrals through partner organizations.
Virtual appointments may be made with an attorney to assist with parenting plans, criminal record expungement or immigration assistance.

Support Services offered at Genesis Project

Provides a day center for women and girls of any age who are involved with commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking but are transitioning out. Offers food, clothing, laundry, hygiene items and showers, as well as overnight stays.

Programs that provide treatment services which may include emotional support, problem-solving assistance, information and guidance in a variety of counseling settings for victims of human trafficking. While women and children are particularly vulnerable to trafficking for the sex trade, human trafficking also includes individuals who are trafficked into forced marriages or into bonded labor markets such as sweat shops, agricultural establishments or domestic service.

Human Trafficking Counseling

Programs that provide immediate assistance for survivors of human trafficking (i.e., individuals who have been abducted, sold, recruited under fraud or pretense or otherwise brought under the control of another person, and forced, by means of threats, intimidation, violence or other forms of coercion, into unpaid or underpaid labor, servitude, prostitution or forced marriage) with the objective of defusing the crisis, ensuring the person's safety and helping the person to get the support they need. Hotline staff are generally available via telephone, email, chat and/or text.

Human Trafficking Hotlines

Programs that develop plans for the evaluation, treatment and/or care of individuals who, because of age, illness, disability or other difficulties, need assistance in planning and arranging for services; which assess the individual's needs; coordinate the delivery of needed services; ensure that services are obtained in accordance with the case plan; and follow up and monitor progress to ensure that services are having a beneficial impact on the individual. Case management is a collaborative process characterized by communication, advocacy and resource management to promote high quality, cost-effective interventions and outcomes.

Case/Care Management

Mutual support groups whose members are victims of human trafficking, most frequently people who have been coerced into unpaid or underpaid labor, servitude, prostitution or forced marriage. The groups meet in-person, by telephone or via the Internet; and provide emotional support, information and resources for participants.

Human Trafficking Support Groups

Programs that help individuals with current or past involvement in sex work move into mainstream employment or education and learn to become self-sufficient and independent. Included are residential programs for women and girls; drop-in programs where people can relax, find comfort and feel safe; resource centers that provide access to information and referrals to meet their needs; and re-entry diversion programs for individuals who have been incarcerated for prostitution. Services typically include assessment, peer support, referrals to programs and services, wrap-around support to build constructive relationships and networks, life skills and capacity building workshops, pre-employment and supported employment skills workshops, individualized after-care plans, and/or ongoing follow-up support. Some programs provide attendees with hygiene products, clothing, hot meals and resources for short-term shelter and other assistance with their decision. Transportation to relocation sites or other appropriate services may also be available.

Sex Trade Transition Programs

Programs that provide a safe and informal environment, often peer operated, where sex trade workers can relax, access health and legal information and resources, and find mutual support.

Sex Trade Worker Drop In Centers

Mutual support groups whose members are men, women and/or adolescents currently or formerly involved in prostitution, phone and online sex services, exotic dancing, pornography or other aspects of the sex industry. The groups meet in-person, by telephone or via the Internet; and allow participants to share experiences, build community and gain emotional support from others.

Sex Trade Worker Support Groups

Programs that provide a safe, secure shelter environment for individuals who have been abducted, sold, recruited under fraud or pretense or otherwise brought under the control of another person, and forced, by means of threats, intimidation, violence or other forms of coercion, into unpaid or underpaid labor, servitude, prostitution or forced marriage, either domestically within their own country or internationally.

Human Trafficking Shelters

Programs offered by churches, restaurants and other organizations that provide meals in a central location for people who lack the resources needed to buy and prepare food. The food may be distributed to people who line up for the meal or may be served to people seated in a dining hall setting, and participants rarely need to establish eligibility for the service.

Soup Kitchens

Programs that provide legal assistance including consultation and representation for victims of human trafficking who have a case involving issues such as coercion into prostitution, forced marriage, domestic violence, bonded labor or other controlled situations against their will that fall within the jurisdiction of the courts in the United States. Human trafficking is the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring or receipt of persons by improper means, such as force, abduction, fraud or coercion, for an improper purpose, like forced or coerced labor, servitude, slavery or sexual exploitation.

Human Trafficking Legal Assistance

Programs that provide immediate assistance for people (adults and/or adolescents) who are involved in prostitution or other aspects of sex trade work which may include steps to ensure the person's safety, short-term emotional support, and referrals to resources for legal and emotional needs, advocacy, housing alternatives and other related services. Helpline staff are generally available via telephone, email, chat and/or text.
