Treats the trauma of sexual or child physical abuse through -  Trauma-specific counseling -  Parent education program -  Parent-Child Interaction Training.   The main goals of treatment are symptom reduction and trauma integration.  Trauma is the primary focus, and may also encompass treating not only symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression and anxiety, but also other related issues resulting from the abuse.   Most clients complete therapy in an average of 16-20 sessions.

Provides comprehensive mental health care to infants, young children, and their families. Works with parents and caregivers, seeking ways to build or repair relationships with their young children. We know that many difficult life circumstances and trauma can impact the ways young children and their caregivers relate with one another. With support, healing can happen, and young children are able to get back on a healthy developmental path and thrive. IECMH therapists strive to facilitate reflective and healing interactions, where children and their important adults learn to relate to others, regulate their emotions, communicate their needs, and navigate day-to-day challenges together. We partner with families to create a support plan specific to their circumstances, values, and culture. Provides assessment, brief counseling and support for victims and their non-offending family members affected by traumatic events. Initial appointment addresses concerns, provides information and support, assesses symptoms and helps make a plan for the future. Crisis counseling is available after hours through Harborview emergency room. A social worker will provide crisis intervention and make counseling referrals and appointments.

Provides tailored therapy to children and youth. Offers support for serious mental illness and depression and anxiety as well as the effects of abuse, addiction, behavioral issues, and issues that stem from sexual orientation. Services include: - Individual, family and group therapy - Skill-building and support for behavior change - School-based early prevention and intervention services - Case management and connection to resources Therapy offered on-site, in school, or, in some cases, at home.
