Treatment is rooted in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and includes group therapy, skills training, individual therapy, family therapy and medication management, dietary support, medical intervention and nursing support. Each patient is individually assessed by DBT trained providers and reviewed by a board certified psychiatrist to determine the appropriate level of care and to address any medication/medical needs.
Clients may also participate in daily yoga, recreational therapy, art therapy, life skills and planning groups, tutoring and vocational support and meals.

Multidisciplinary programs, often offered on an inpatient basis with post-discharge outpatient therapy, that provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for individuals who have anorexia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, bulimia or a related eating disorder. Treatment depends on the specific type of eating disorder involved but typically involves psychotherapy, nutrition education, family counseling, medication and hospitalization, if required, to stabilize the patient's health.

Eating Disorders Treatment

Programs that provide emotional support, information and guidance in a variety of settings for individuals who have symptoms of depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder or postpartum psychosis, mental disorders that are associated with PMADs and affect an estimated 15% to 21% of pregnant and postpartum individuals in the weeks before and/or after their baby's birth. Therapists providing counseling and other services tailor therapeutic interventions specific to each person's PMADs diagnosis. But there are general recommendations that can be incorporated to support each client's ability to benefit from the interventions that are specific to their individual PMAD diagnosis which may include normalizing and destigmatizing the situation (reassuring them that it is normal to feel ambivalent during pregnancy and motherhood), prioritizing sleep, encouraging exercise and finally, developing a strong social network which may involve other individuals experiencing PMADs, a general "new moms group", or activities that focus on interests other than motherhood.

Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders Treatment

Programs that offer a form of therapy developed by Marsha M. Linehan that is designed especially for people with borderline personality disorder (BPD) who are involved in self-cutting or other forms of self-mutilitation, have attempted suicide or have suicidal thoughts or exhibit other behaviors related to self-injury. Treatment  involves individual therapy, a skills group, telephone contact and therapist consultation. The group skills training has four modules:  core mindfulness skills, interpersonal effectiveness skills, emotion regulation skills and distress tolerance skills. The  focus of the group sessions is on learning and practicing adaptive skills that are particularly relevant to the problems experienced by people with BPD. While originally developed for this population, dialectical behavior therapy has been used with people who have other types of emotional disorders.

The groups meet in-person, by telephone or via the Internet; and provide an opportunity for participants to share information, relate to shared experiences, and provide tips for healthy daily living and recovery support.
