Tobacco Quitline offered by Washington State Department of Health
Offers support, including a quit coach, to people seeking to stop using tobacco. Callers on Medicaid or participating insurance plans may qualify for additional counseling and/or free nicotine gum, patches or other prescribed medication.
Offers support to people seeking to quit their use of tobacco. Telephone line features a quit coach can help create a personalized quit plan, provide recent information on topics related to smoking and quitting tobacco.
Callers also can receive a step-by-step quit smoking guide.
Promotes a phone app to help quit smoking. Users who complete a survey and who live in Washington state gain access to all the app features.
Also offers a support program for teens.
Phone Counseling
- No health insurance: are eligible for at least five free telephone counseling calls per year from the Quitline

- Apple Health (Medicaid): may be able to have Nicotine Replacement Therapy shipped, but will need your ProviderOne information to enroll in a counseling program
- Medicare: should be able to get prescription medications from provider, but can also call to get at least two weeks of free nicotine patches
- Private insurance: benefit depends on health plan. Contact health insurance carrier (or employer, if applicable) for details or call the Quitline with plan information.

Quit VET Smoking Cessation Helpline offered by U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
Operates a helpline for veterans where they can speak with a smoking cessation counselor and get help developing a quit plan and follow-up calls to help prevent relapse. Cannot provide smoking cessation medications.
Operates a helpline for veterans where they can speak with a smoking cessation counselor to receive:
- Help developing a quit plan
- Individualized counseling
- Strategies to prevent relapse
- Follow-up calls to help you stay quit
Counselor may ask specific questions about tobacco use, quitting history and motivations to quit to help create a quit plan.
Any information provided to the counselor during the call is kept private.
Counselors are unable to provide smoking cessation medications.
Callers should talk to their VA health care provider about using medication, and let them know they are using the Quit VET helpline.
Veterans may be able to get a prescription for nicotine gum, patch, or lozenge, or for bupropion, another medication for smoking cessation available through the VA.

Tobacco/Vape and Youth Marijuana Prevention and Education Program offered at El Centro de la Raza
Raises awareness about the harmful effects of commercial tobacco and vaping, as well as to prevent use of marijuana by Latino youth and young adults.
Addresses the threats of commercial tobacco and vaping use to raise awareness about the harmful and life-threatening effects of tobacco, exposure to secondhand smoke and the impact of vaping among youth and young adults in the Latino community. Promotes and refers information to prevent youth from starting to use marijuana. Educates Latino parents, care givers and other influential adult engagement in youth marijuana prevention.

Substance Use Disorder Services offered at Asian Counseling and Referral Service
Provides substance use disorder services for adults and youth by multi-lingual/multi-cultural staff. Includes alcohol & drug information school, DUI assessments, outpatient treatment and intensive outpatient treatment. ACCEPTS YOUTH 13-21.
Substance Use Disorder Services for Adults: State-certified Substance Use Disorder Treatment program helps individuals who struggle with substance use disorder or co-occurring disorder abstain from drug and alcohol use, improve their physical and mental health and improve their quality of life.
Offers both outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment at the ACRS main site. Includes: -SUD assessment for inpatient referral - Counseling - Support groups - Case management services - Substance Use Disorder Services for Youth:
