Operates a 24-hour phone line staffed by volunteers who receive and return calls, then refer callers to local and online support group meetings. Meeting times and locations are also updated on the website. Meetings are based on the 12-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous; they provide mutual support so addicts can live one day at a time drug-free. Addiction is viewed as a progressive physical disease, affecting an individual emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

Offers 12-step support groups for alcoholics. Includes gender separate meetings, as well as special groups for Native Americans, Spanish speakers and those who identify as LGBTQ.   Some meetings have interpreters for individuals who are hard of hearing.  Potential members should call to be matched to the nearest group. Operates a statewide 24-hour behavioral health help line for those dealing with issues related to substance use, problem gambling or mental health.   Assists callers in connecting to state funded mental health, problem gambling and substance use disorder treatment providers with a particular focus on providers that offer medication assisted treatment. Also assists callers in connecting with privately funded substance use disorder treatment providers.   Provides support, information, and service referrals for: - Treatment options - Substance use disorder services - Gambling treatment - Medication for Opioid Use Disorder - Harm reduction services - Recovery support groups - Immediate mental and emotional support for people while seeking treatment or in recovery - Support for family members Connects to professional services when needed, including: - Next Day Substance Use Disorder Appointments (NDAs) - Bridger Appointments to MOUD providers statewide

Facilitates 12-step program support groups and a 24-hour helpline for people who have a desire to stop using drugs. Provides emotional support and peer-in-recovery counseling to help people with substance use disorders deal with feelings and share experiences. Recovery literature is available free at meetings. All NA meetings should be friendly to individuals that are on opiate replacement medications such as suboxone and methadone. Meetings available in Bellevue, Bothell, Burien, Edmonds, Kirkland, Lynnwood, Redmond, Seattle and Shoreline.

Operates a confidential 24-hour hotline for information on poisoning, medication overdose as well as illicit drug exposure.  Aids in diagnosis and emergency treatment and is available to the general public, physicians and emergency departments.  The toll-free number will automatically route caller to the nearest poison control center in the United States.  All calls are confidential and are not reported to law enforcement. EMERGENCY INFORMATION: If you need an assessment of a potential medication overdose, get the following information: -  Exact name of medication from label (prescription or over-the-counter), if possible, or a description of the drug taken if name is unknown -  The amount of the drug taken (i.e. , milligrams per pill and total number of pills taken) -  When the drug was taken -  Whether alcohol was taken or not; if so, how much and when - Approximate age, weight and height of patient -  Time of last meal eaten -  Approximate tolerance (i.e., has patient been taking same medication for years or only a week)  Predicts the most likely consequences and recommend the best emergency treatment for children and adults. Can also provide general information regarding the effects of various recreational drugs (amphetamines, hallucinogens, etc. ) to the public or members of the "drug culture. " It is recommended that people call the center prior to calling their physician or an emergency room as time is an important factor.  If a parent suspects a child has ingested a potentially poisonous substance, they can call the center and find out the toxicity of the product and the best immediate treatment to counteract it.  This center will notify the emergency room so they are prepared when the patient arrives.  The center has access to other specialized information sources for certain types of poisoning such as plants and insecticides. Assessment or information is available on workplace exposure, hazardous materials and environmental concerns.

Provides referrals to local treatment facilities, support groups, and community-based organizations.  Callers can also order free publications and other information in print on substance use disorder and mental health issues.  Does not provide counseling; trained information specialists answer calls, transfer callers to State services or other appropriate intake centers in their states, and connect them with local assistance and support.

Operates a crisis line with professionals available to speak with anyone experiencing a crisis due to mental illness or substance use issues. Provides assistance for those or someone they care about is : - Thinking about or talking about harming themselves or others - Thinking, talking or writing about suicide - Looking for pills, guns or other ways to harm themselves - Feeling anxious, hopeless, or desperate - Being bullied - Being verbally, physically or sexually abused - Angry or seeking revenge - Acting recklessly or involved in unsafe behavior - Increasing use of alcohol and other drugs - Avoiding friends and family - Not sleeping well or sleeping too much

Operates a 24-hour hotline open to the community for questions on how to care for a drug-affected or drug-addicted infant.  Hotline also answers questions on how to make a referral for a baby who will be born affected by or addicted to drugs.

Facilitates a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. The primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety. 24/7 help with alcohol.

Offers support groups specific to crystal meth addiction. Also provides a hotline for information and to offer support. The helpline is not a crisis hotline and therefore not equipped to respond to emergencies or answer any questions of a medical or legal nature.
