White Center Teen Program offered by King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks' White Center Community Center

Provides a variety of teen recreational programs structured programs, field trips and special events for teens ages 12-19.

Programs that provide opportunities for people of all ages to learn, become competitive in and enjoy the organized recreational activity, sport or game of their choice. These programs may be offered by local clubs devoted to a particular activity or sport; may provide individual or team coaching assistance or instruction, access to equipment and facilities, and uniforms, if necessary; and may sponsor or make arrangements for athletes to participate in amateur competitions, usually at the local, regional or state level, and provide officials for games. These events are generally for the enjoyment of the athletes and are not at a high enough competitive level to be considered spectator sports.

Recreational Activities/Sports

Programs that provide an alternative, non-residential environment that people with any of a variety of issues can visit on an informal basis to find mutual support and access to social and recreational activities. People can drop by whenever they like without the need to make an appointment and have the option of participating in whatever activities are currently underway.

Multipurpose centers that serve as a focal point for youth in the community and which offer, at a single location, a wide variety of services and activities that are needed by and of interest to this population.

Youth Centers

Programs organized by commercial, community or educational groups such as senior centers, youth clubs or scouting groups that provide opportunities for people of all ages, usually local residents, to participate in day or weekend trips to the zoo, art exhibits, museums, amusement parks, natural areas, places of business or other points of interest.

Field Trips/Excursions

Offers a free late night program for youth in 7th grade through age 19. 
The event is located at the Meridian Middle School gymnasium.  
Offers an open gym and other activities. Friends and new attendees are welcome.

The objective of youth enrichment programs is to promote healthy social interaction and help participants maximize their social, emotional, physical and academic potential.

Offers a variety of programs designed for youth and young adults.

Programs that provide instruction for individuals of all ages who want to learn about or perfect their skills in using computers, computer-related hardware and specific home and business applications including word processing, spreadsheet development, presentation development, database management, electronic publishing and image processing. Included are both introductory classes for people unfamiliar with computers and the Internet and more advanced courses, as well as programs that provide instruction in the use of related technology such as smartphones and social media. Instruction may focus on publishing tools such as blogs, video logs (vlogs), photo sharing, podcasting or wikis.

Computer Literacy Training Programs

Programs that provide classes, individual lessons or other opportunities for people who want to learn or perfect their skills and techniques in any of a variety of visual art forms or crafts.

Arts and Crafts Instruction

Offers a free late night program for youth in grades 6-9.  
The event is located at Mill Creek Middle School. Friends and new attendees are welcome, but prior registration is required. 
Activities include arts & crafts, basketball, board games, indoor soccer, music, special events and much more!
