Responds to reports of potholes, roadway obstructions, flooding, and downed, missing or malfunctioning traffic signs or signals in unincorporated King County.

Road Maintenance and Information offered by King County Department of Local Services' Road Services Division

Provides a variety of maintenance services and information for unincorporated King County roads and rights-of-way. Responds to road obstruction complaints, such as potholes, fallen road signs, etc.

Programs that are responsible for developing, inspecting and ensuring that local streets, bridges, tunnels, pedestrian subways, culverts, bicycle paths, retaining walls, curbs, sidewalks, driveways and other public byways are in good repair.

Programs that are responsible for ensuring that flooded streets are adequately drained.

Street Flooding/Drainage

Programs that are responsible for the installation and maintenance of traffic lights that are positioned at street intersections to indicate when it is safe to drive, ride or walk using a universal color code.

Basic City Services offered at City of Clyde Hill

Provides basic city services for residents of Clyde Hill, including elected officials services and public works services.

Programs that register newly formed businesses according to the legal status under which they will operate (e.g., for-profit and nonprofit corporations, limited liability companies, general and limited partnerships, franchises and sole proprietorships) as well as record and reserve their legal name; register business opportunities; and/or issue licenses or permits which provide written authorization for the operation of a business within a specific local jurisdiction.

Business Registration/Licensing

Programs that issue permits which authorize new construction or major alterations or expansions of existing buildings that affect the structural integrity of the building or the public safety, or which are done to bring a structure into compliance with building codes or occupancy requirements in conjunction with an approved building plan.

Building Permits

Programs that are responsible for the regular sweeping of public streets to remove dirt, litter and other debris. Included are special cleanup crews that respond when pressure washing, degreasing or other techniques are required to remove spilled oil, blood, fecal matter, trapped litter, bird droppings and other messes that are left when accidents are cleared, animal carcasses are removed or grimy buildups accumulate over time.

Street Cleaning

The offices of individuals who have been appointed or elected to a town, city, county or other local public office for a specified tenure and who are thereby in a position to exercise that portion of the sovereign functions of government that are conferred on that office. Forty-eight of the 50 states have operational county governments. Connecticut and Rhode Island are divided into geographic regions called counties, but they do not have functioning governments. Alaska calls its counties boroughs and Louisiana calls them parishes. Cities and towns may also have other designations including townships, boroughs and villages.

Local Officials Offices

Public sector offices known as passport acceptance facilities that have been authorized by the U.S. Department of State to accept and verify the documents, applicant signatures and identity for passport applications; place all of the documents and required photos into a specially sealed, tamperproof envelope that may only be opened by State Department officials; and forward them for processing. This is required for ALL passport applicants for a new adult passport, child (minor) passport, or lost, stolen or damaged passport applications. Most passport acceptance facilities are found in local post offices, county clerk's offices and some library locations.  Passports are official documents which identify citizens, serve as written authorization from government authorities for citizens to travel abroad and, in effect, request foreign powers to allow bearers to enter and pass freely and safely. U.S. passports can be renewed by mail provided that the old passport was issued within the last 15 years, that the individual was age 16 or older at the time, and that, if applicable, proof of name change is provided. The old valid passport, a color passport photo, a completed DS-82 form and a check or money order for the fee must be submitted.

Community-sponsored voluntary or mandatory programs that encourage people in residential settings to recycle reusable resources such as newspaper, glass, plastic and metals such as aluminum, tin and steel which are found in cans. The program may supply recycling containers to participating households and may collect the recyclable materials on a regular basis.

Residential Recycling Programs

Provides basic government services to the city of Issaquah, including information on development laws.

City Services offered at City of Issaquah

Provides basic government services to the city of Issaquah.

Programs that are responsible for establishing restrictions on the use of land by property owners as provided for in a community’s general plan using a variety of land use control tools including zoning ordinances, subdivision regulations, development moratoriums, overlay zones/districts, planned unit development and transfer of development rights.

Land Use Regulation

Programs that increase public awareness of the measures that people can take to protect lives and property in case of a flash flood; flooding from storm tides, tidal surges, ice break-ups, heavy rains or a hurricane; or dams or levees that have failed.  Information about the community's warning system signaling that flooding is imminent is included. Also included are programs that provide fact sheets, maps and other types of information about flood zones (areas in which 100-year flood events may occur), inundation hazard areas (areas downstream from dams that are subject to flooding in the event of dam failure, areas at risk for inundation due to a tsunami and areas subject to inundation caused by seismically or landslide related back and forth wave action in enclosed or partially enclosed bodies of water such as lakes, harbors and channels) and other technical information related to flooding that individuals and communities can review and evaluate to see if their area is at risk.
