Serves as the Disaster Medical Control Center for Seattle/King County, responsible for coordinating the distribution of patients throughout the region in the case of disaster or mass casualty incident. 
Accepts newborn babies dropped off by the parent within 72 hours of birth. The parent shall not be prosecuted, remains anonymous and will be asked for medical history.

Programs that provide immediate, short-term assistance for individuals who have been injured during a major disaster or large-scale emergency that disrupts the normal functioning of a community.  Services may be provided at temporary facilities that have been established in or near the affected area or at sites where injured individuals have assembled and include on-site triage, rapid emergency care of life threatening conditions, sequential triage and timely evacuation of patients, when necessary.

Post Disaster Emergency Medical Care

Hospitals, health centers, police stations, fire houses and other facilities that are willing to accept, without questions, newborn babies delivered by mothers who are unwilling or unable to care for an infant and are thereby at risk for abandonment. Police reports are generally not filed and no attempt is made to contact the mother's family, even in situations where her identity is known. Infant safe haven statutes vary by jurisdiction with regard to who may leave a baby at a safe haven, the age of the baby at the time of relinquishment, the facilities that can be designated as safe havens, the responsibilities of safe haven providers, anonymity protection for parents and the consequences of relinquishment.

Hospitals and other health care facilities that provide 24-hour diagnostic and treatment services for people who have acute, life-threatening injuries or severe illnesses.

Emergency Room Care

Hospital-based facilities that provide 24-hour access to emergency mental health care for patients in acute emotional distress. Programs include the management and treatment of psychiatric emergencies, and depending on the size of the facility and scope of services, they may offer a mobile crisis unit, short-stay rooms, or counseling.
