In-Kind Donations Service offered at DESC's Rainier House
Accepts donations of items to distribute to homeless and recently homeless clients. Accepts a variety of donations. Cannot pick up donations. Can provide tax receipts. See description for full list of accepted donations.
Accepts donations of in-kind items to give to both housed and unhoused clients. Accepted donations include the following:
- Adult clothing
- Hygiene items
- Microwaves, blenders, fans
- Dishes, pots, pans, silverware, cooking utensils
- Twin size bedding
- Sleeping bags or tents
- Non-expired, shelf-ready food that does not need to be refrigerated
Items always needed:
- Men’s cut pants
- Men’s cut coats
- Women’s cut plus-sized clothing
- Menstrual hygiene products
- Coffee (beans or ground)
- Sleeping bags and tents
- New adult-sized socks and underwear (in packaging)
Items NOT accepted include the following:
- Furniture (including office or bedroom furniture)
- Home décor
- Books
- Pet items
- Perishable or expired food
- Medicines of any kind
- Children’s clothing or toys

-  Blankets; sheets; towels 
-  Unexpired, non-perishable food items  
-  New and (clean) used men's and women's clothing and shoes
Also accepts unopened hygiene items such as: 
 -  Shampoo and soap
 -  Toothbrushes and toothpaste
 -  Razors 
-  Toilet paper 
-  Deodorant   
Does not pick up donations.

Accepts a variety of donation for residents of Black Diamond and the surrounding areas. No large items. Call before dropping off donations.
Accepts: clean clothing (styles vary by season), shoes (casual only, in good condition), non-perishable food items (canned and dried, with good expiration dates), gently used books, clean blankets and bedding, money.
Cannot accept large items, large loads, and NO perishables.
