Provides information on how to obtain a driver license and license renewals, and issues driver licenses. License renewals are valid for six years.   Processes address changes. Anyone changing addresses within the state of Washington has 10 days to notify the Licensing Department. Office locations are available on the website. Some offices offer driving tests. Manages governmental administrative, police, parks, arts, permit and planning services. Administrative services answers questions concerning services, codes and regulations. Administers laws and regulations and provides voter registration forms and pet licensing. Offers permit services, including building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, right-of-way, conditional use and variance permits. Issues city business licenses. City planning services include code enforcement, code interpretation, shoreline permit processing and building inspections. City maps are available at a minimal cost. Operates an Election Service Center all year, and opens Vote Centers across King County during Election periods. Staff at the ESC and at Vote Centers are available to: - Register new voters - Update current voter records - Provide voter registration cards - Assist voters who need help completing their ballot Trained staff and specialized equipment are available to help voters with disabilities cast a private, independent ballot. All eligible, registered voters will automatically receive a ballot in the mail approximately 20 days before each election in which they are eligible to vote. Replacement ballots are available beginning 15 days before the election through Election Day.
