Deferred Payment Loan:

Emergency Grant:
- Gives financial assistance to repair health and safety hazards needing immediate attention.
- The maximum grant is $1,500 and does not need to be repaid.
Weatherization Grant:
- Funds are offered in conjunction with Washington State's Energy Matchmaker Program.
- Eligible repairs are restricted to insulation and heating systems.
- The maximum grant is $3,000 and does not need to be repaid.
Rental Rehabilitation Loan:
- No-interest loans are available for repairs relating to health and safety improvements to rental units.
- Loans can be made for single family rental property owners if the tenants meet the program's income requirements.
- Terms are the same for Leveraged Loans.
Leveraged Loan:
- No-interest loans are available for repairs relating to health and safety improvements to moderate-income homeowners.
- The maximum loan amount is $17,500 and does not have to be repaid until the home is sold.
- Loans are matched dollar for dollar with homeowner contributions.
Grant programs hire contractors and vendors to complete repairs on behalf of homeowner; no grant money is given directly to client.

Sewer System Maintenance
Housing Repair Program offered by King County Department of Community and Human Services
Provides financial assistance for home health and safety repairs for low-income King County homeowners and mobile home owners. Offers rental rehab program for landlords who have tenants with disabilities; does not serve Seattle.
Provides loans and grants for low- to moderate-income, owner-occupied homes for necessary major health and safety repairs.
Deferred loans provide up to $34,000 in no-interest loans to low-income homeowners (must live in residence) for major health and safety repairs (as determined by an inspector).
Loan is expected to be repaid at the time the home is:
- Sold, or title transferred
- Refinanced
- No longer primary residence
Emergency Grants provide up to $9,000 for owner-occupied homes with life-threatening repair needs. Grants are not repaid.
Mobile Homeowner Grant Program offers up to $11,000 for emergency repairs to owner-occupied mobile homes without ownership in the land on which the mobile home is located.
Home Access Modification Program (HAM) provides grants to make accessibility modifications to rental units for tenants with disabilities.
