Treatment begins with a 30-minute consultation session where a behavioral health provider will gather information about a problem and recommend brief interventions. This commonly occurs during an appointment with the primary care provider. Works with the patient to create an effective treatment plan that takes into account the patient's unique traditions and cultural practices. Helps the patient implement previous skills, learn new skills, and make changes to become well. If treatment requires medication, treatment team will either obtain recommendations from or refer to a specialist with advanced expertise. Training clinic for doctoral students and Masters students provides low-cost counseling services and psychological assessments. Provides individual therapy sessions for adults, adolescents and children as well as family therapy and group therapy. Offers treatment and support for depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, relationship challenges, and more. Uses evidence-based therapies and other emergent therapeutic modalities.
