Provides mental health consultation and treatment recommendations for UWMC patients as well as patients referred in by outside providers.   Also offers -  Short-term medication management -  Short-term psychotherapy with referral to community resources for longer term therapy -  Coordination of care with primary care physicians   This clinic primarily serves patients referred from within UW Medical Center and provides a setting for psychology and psychiatry residents to learn under the supervision of attending faculty members.   This clinic does not provide services related to court orders, mandated evaluations, disability evaluations or labor and industry mandated evaluations.

Provides mental health treatment to children, youth, adults, and families who are experiencing difficulties in their lives.    Works with such issues as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, as well as other family stressors and transitions.   Uses a strengths-based and evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma focused CBT to tailor services to the particular strengths and needs of each of our clients. This commonly occurs during an appointment with the primary care provider. Works with the patient to create an effective treatment plan that takes into account the patient's unique traditions and cultural practices. Helps the patient implement previous skills, learn new skills, and make changes to become well. If treatment requires medication, treatment team will either obtain recommendations from or refer to a specialist with advanced expertise. The behavioral health provider works jointly with patients, primary care providers and other health care team members to evaluate and treat any health concerns affected by behavior.

Deaf services clinicians provide comprehensive, evidence-based treatment addressing mental health and substance use disorders to King County children, adults and families. Offers direct access to care in sign language and understands the unique needs of people who are Deaf, hard of hearing or Deafblind. Helps with: - Counseling for everyday problems or an unexpected life crisis - Healing from trauma - Enhancing relationships & communication skills - Resolving workplace concerns & garnering support during career transitions - Providing psychiatric assessments, treatment, and medication management - Assessing and treating substance use disorders - The complex challenges of children & adolescents - Parenting support & education - Assistance with accessing other needed services such as housing Services are available both in-person and via telehealth.

Provides low-fee counseling and psychological assessment services. Offers in person and telebehaviorall health counseling throughout Washington State that includes individual, family, children, adults, adolescents, and couples therapy. Art and Drama therapy also available. Assessments services are performed in person only. The Clinic is a teaching facility, and all services are provided by student counselors and therapists who are supervised by licensed psychologists and mental health counselors. Does not prescribe or manage medications.

Licensed counselors and interns under licensed supervision administer weekly counseling services for individuals, couples and families for psychological, relationship and spiritual concerns.   Licensed and registered health professionals and graduate school interns volunteer to provide services. Clients are not required to participate in religious activities. Clients in need of greater case management service may be referred to additional resources.

Provides nine to 15 hours weekly of structured programming and therapeutic support designed specifically for women and adolescent girls facing significant anxiety and depression. Services are rooted in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and include group therapy, individual therapy, family support and medication management. Each patient is individually assessed by DBT trained providers and reviewed by a board certified psychiatrist to determine the appropriate level of care. Clients may also participate in daily yoga, recreational therapy, art therapy, life skills and planning groups, tutoring and vocational support and meals.
