Treatment begins with a 30-minute consultation session where a behavioral health provider will gather information about a problem and recommend brief interventions. This commonly occurs during an appointment with the primary care provider. Works with the patient to create an effective treatment plan that takes into account the patient's unique traditions and cultural practices. Helps the patient implement previous skills, learn new skills, and make changes to become well. If treatment requires medication, treatment team will either obtain recommendations from or refer to a specialist with advanced expertise. The behavioral health provider works jointly with patients, primary care providers and other health care team members to evaluate and treat any health concerns affected by behavior.

Counseling Services Licensed therapists offer strength-based, trauma-informed approaches to help clients gain skills to manage life’s challenges. Therapists assist with issues such as: - Stress, anxiety, and depression - Family and relationship issues - Grief, loss, and other life transitions - Substance use and addiction - Self-harm - Gender identity - Body image - Conflict resolution - Foster support - Adoption support Meets court requirements related to mental health or substance use.

Offers culturally specific mental health services for refugees and immigrants. Provides case management services as well as individual, family and group counseling. Offers treatment and support for those experiencing stress, depression, and anxiety associated with displacement and the effects of acculturation.

Licensed counselors and interns under licensed supervision administer weekly counseling services for individuals, couples and families for psychological, relationship and spiritual concerns.   Licensed and registered health professionals and graduate school interns volunteer to provide services. Provides nine to 15 hours weekly of structured programming and therapeutic support designed specifically for women and adolescent girls facing significant anxiety and depression. Services are rooted in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and include group therapy, individual therapy, family support and medication management. Each patient is individually assessed by DBT trained providers and reviewed by a board certified psychiatrist to determine the appropriate level of care. Clients may also participate in daily yoga, recreational therapy, art therapy, life skills and planning groups, tutoring and vocational support and meals.
