Provides information about monkeypox - a viral disease that can cause rashes and other symptoms. It does not commonly occur in the US, but there is currently an outbreak of monkeypox with cases spreading in Washington state and across the country, as well as in many other countries. Many of the current cases are occurring in men who have sex with men, although monkeypox can spread person-to-person with any kind of close, skin-to-skin contact. Includes information about exposure, symptoms, testing, treatment, and vaccinations.

Help people make better health decisions through support, encouragement, and health-related education. Support patients living with chronic diseases through one-on-one appointments, groups, and community-based classes. Provide education on diabetes, prediabetes, cholesterol, blood pressure, glucometer teaching, basic nutrition, asthma, tobacco cessation, family planning, exercise, among other topics. Health educator help patients to set goals that help the patient achieve better health outcomes. Offers prenatal, CPR, birth refresher, wellness and chronic disease management classes.   CPR class is intended for the general public for adult CPR and choking techniques. Participants do receive a Medic II CPR card, good for 2 years. The card is not a certificate. The newsletter 'Med Info' is published quarterly and lists classes and special events.

Provides a network of care providers who offer comprehensive, up-to-date resources to assist Sickle Cell carriers and their families with: - Access to Washington state's most dedicated sickle cell specialists - physicians, nurses, social workers, genetic counselors and more. - Opportunities to learn about new ways to prevent and manage pain, to work with teachers and schools, and to otherwise support a child's health, growth and development. - Social activities and the chance to meet and learn from other families who are living with sickle cell disease. - Regular updates on the latest research, community activities and other resources. Supports newly diagnosed adult patients and parents of newly diagnosed children so they don't experience isolation due to their bleeding disorder.   Many recreational and social outings are organized throughout the year including an annual retreat for women in May, a men's retreat and a holiday party. Events promote socialization, networking and education among peers. Distributes a quarterly newsletter, provides educational materials such as books, videos and tapes about bleeding disorders, and offers a network for peer support.

Provides information and support services to people with Spina Bifida and families who have children with Spina Bifida.   Coordinates mentoring groups, and offers limited financial assistance to help with medical costs associated with Spina Bifida. Organizes informal get-togethers for people associated with the organization and others interested in Spina Bifida.

Support line answers questions about ostomies and continent procedures via phone. Mails out packets of information for those who need additional information. Website offers health education resources, including ostomy literature, and information on ostomy supplies. This organization works with the American Cancer Society, Cancer Lifeline and Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.  

Provides information about managing chronic pain and supporting individuals managing chronic pain is available on the website. Peer support group meeting locator for chronic pain. Each group must be led by a person with chronic pain. ACPA guidelines indicate that groups should not be affiliated with any hospital or other such institution.

Free online database of guidance on job accommodations and disability employment issues including one-on-one practical guidance and technical assistance on job accommodation solutions, disability legislation, and self-employment and entrepreneurship options for people with disabilities.
