Access to Baby and Child Dentistry (ABCD) offered by Public Health in Seattle & King County's Access & Outreach
Coordinates dental care for children, primarily ages 5 and under, who have WA Apple Health. Works with non-profit dental clinics and participating private dentists in King County. Also coordinates care for adults with no dental insurance.
Increases access to dental care throughout King County for children who have WA Apple Health (Medicaid).
Once enrolled, provides assistance in finding a dentist that will fit location, timing and language preferences and assists in coordinating transportation and interpreter services.
Website also provides lists of participating dentists by geographic area and includes Public Health dental clinics, community dental clinics and participating private dentists throughout King County.
Additionally provides assistance in helping uninsured adults find low-cost dental services.

Street Medicine Program offered by Public Health in Seattle & King County
Provides drop-in medical and dental care to people who are homeless in South King County and Seattle at a mobile van. No prescription pain medication. Offers STI testing, birth control, and overdose prevention medication.

Offers drop-in primary medical care and dental care for people who are homeless. Clinics held at free meal programs, day centers, shelters and encampments and operated from medical and dental vans. A doctor or nurse provides exams and treatment.
Program does not carry narcotics or provide any prescription pain medication. Dental services focus on treating dental pain NOT preventative cleanings.

Offers one-time dental care for extensive dental problems. Assists those who cannot receive essential medical treatment due to their dental condition and have exhausted all other resources. Wait time is lengthy.

Does not provide simple dental services if only a cleaning or checkup is required.
Persons accepted into this program may go through the program one time only to ensure treatment for the maximum number of people.

Promotes preventative pediatric dental care for Medicaid eligible children birth to 18 years of age. Provides information and referrals to participating dentists in Kitsap County.
ABCD focuses on preventive and restorative dental care for Medicaid-eligible children from birth to age five, with emphasis on enrollment by age one. It is based upon the premise that starting dental visits early will yield positive behaviors by both parents and children, thereby helping to control the caries process and reduce the need for costly future restorative work.
